Delivering his final statement in French and English, Granville was executed on January 30, 2003.
 
"I love all of you," Granville said, speaking first in French and then in English. "I have no grudges against anyone and I would like to say to the world I have always been a nice person.

"I've never been mean-hearted or cruel. I wish everybody well."

With his wife sobbing and murmuring in French as she watched through a window nearby, Granville said, "Je t'aime." He then gasped and let out a long breath as the drugs began to take effect.

He was pronounced dead nine minutes later at 6:17 p.m.

VERY URGENT HELP REQUIRED
GRANVILLE'S EXECUTION DATE SET TODAY

Granville's execution date has been set today, scheduled for January 30.2003.

We are very afraid of the short delay which does not leave much time for further investigation and legal action.

Granville's court appointed defender did withdraw himself from the case but fortunately a very well-known lawyer accepted to take care of the case and already works very hard on it.

Please understand that we have now reached a critical stage of the legal procedure and therefore we must make every possible effort in order to save Granville's life right now.

Granville's new lawyer does whatever possible. He has hired a private investigator and also found some grounds to raise, so we are of course still hoping.

It is really the last chance to save Granville's life. In order to cover the expenses for the lawyer and the private investigator we urgently require US$ 4,000.00. Therefore every support is very appreciated. Beside money our major problem is time which is running out.

The easiest way is to send money in an envelope. Checks should be avoided as there are hefty fees and here only a few places accept them if any. Direct fund transfers (wire transfers) work fine.
