A LITTLE BACKGROUND ON THIS CASE, AND THE PURPOSE OF THIS DOCUMENT

Bob Coulson was arrested on November 13, 1992, and charged with brutally killing five (5) members of his family. Murdered was Bobs: dad, Otis Coulson; mom, Mary Coulson; older sister Robin Wentworth; brother in law, Rick Wentworth (Robins husband); and younger sister, Sarah Coulson. Bob proclaimed his innocence and pled NOT-GUILTY. Bob denied killing his family or being involved what-so-ever in the murders when he testified in his own trial for two and a half (2 1/2) days. There were NO eyewitnesses to these murders. There were NO fingerprints or any other forensics evidence linking Bob to the murders or to any of the items the state claims were used in the murders. A homicide officer testified that Bob did NOT have any: burns; singed hair; bruises; cuts; scratches; etc. when he interviewed Bob for hours the day after the murders; Bob was wearing a t-shirt- and shorts. (Although there were fires set at the crime scene and the murderers had to have touched the victims as they were all tied up) Due mainly to the false testimony of Bobs roommate, Jared Althaus, Bob was convicted of Capital Murders and sentenced to DEATH.

The purpose of this document is to show the world how many times Jared Althaus has lied and changed his story against Bob Coulson. Jared has given: numerous sworn statements; different stories to the police while not under oath; he testified under oath in two (2) separate trials against Bob (Bobs criminal trial, which occurred first, and a civil trial, which occurred several years later [a wrongful death lawsuit filed against Bob by his family] ) All of the statements and testimony Jared has made have been gone through to compile the examples in this document.

People often do not believe what they can not see, so this document was put together to allow the reader to see for themselves the many changes in Jared's story. There are additional examples that were excluded as they were not as clear.

A question (or in a few instances a statement) at the top of each example will assist the reader with what to be looking for in the example. The questions are listed so they mirror Jareds stories, as opposed to putting the best example in the front. Please read each question carefully as some questions appears on the surface to be the same but if you will look specifically at the question at the top of the page you will notice the difference in each example.

Sometimes Jared: changes his story (sworn and unsworn); is contradicted by police or disinterested parties testifying at the same trial; is contradicted by facts or evidence in the case.

Jareds credibility is crucial to the jury believing him as the case was a classic swearing match between Bob and Jared, Bob denying involvement and Jared saying Bob was involved. It is also worth noting that when a person lies it is very hard for them to remember their lies and this is the reason Jared changed his story so many times in this case. Jared has lied since day one and has no idea what he has said before so he just makes things up as he goes along and hopes no one will notice.

Thank you in advance for talking the time to read through this entire document and see all of the information it contains. Hopefully you will see the vast number of times Jared Althaus has changed his story and see that Jared has absolutely NO credibility in the case against Bob Coulson.

Most of the people who have read about this case (including Bob's family and friends) assume that since Jared pointed the finger at Bob and testified against him that Jared must be telling the truth. Hopefully this document will set the record straight on this matter once and for all. Nobody could tell the truth and then change their story as many times as Jared has. Jared Althaus is a habitual liar and this document proves it beyond any doubt.

NONE OF THE INFORMATION ON JARED'S LIES OR INCONSISTENT STATEMENTS HAS BEEN BEFORE A JURY OR AN APPEAL COURT!!! BOB DID NOT HAVE THE INFORMATION AT HIS CRIMINAL TRIAL. THE EVIDENCE WAS NOT ADMISSABLE IN BOB'S APPEAL. (A PART MAY HAVE BEEN ADMISSABLE BUT BOB'S ATTORNEY DROPPED THE BALL AND DID NOT FILE IT!).
